taste of the hometown is a japanese culture program airs every weekdays 9.30 am on WAKUWAKU JAPAN that focusing on japanese cuisine.
This program brings you a lot of recipes from all around Japan with the expectation that you can cook popular local specialties in your own kitchen. For this thursday episode. This show reveal the secret of okinawa best dishes..most of it include pork meat as the main ingredient.
For the seasoning..awamori and white miso are okinawa's signature seasoning.
for the first dish rafute which is a meat main course made from pork belly that stew in rich soy sauce..next is jushi, on this episode they demostrated two different jushi..one is the dry type of jushi called junfa and the other is the soup version of jushi called boro boro. And the last dish is inamuduchi which is a thin slice pork belly on clear white miso soup.
