Pasaraya, the pioneer of modern shopping center in Indonesia, well-known as one stop shopping for everything traditional and Indonesian culture related products. Pasaraya always give their best to deliver best shopping experience for both local and foreign customers through high quality local products that really represent Indonesian culture and heritage.
As we all know that Indonesia creative market play a major role to boosting up local economy. That's why in this month of October, as a support for national batik day and especially appreciation to our cultural heritage and boosting local mid-low trading and manufacturers, Pasaraya proudly held an exclusive event called "Tribute to Batik". This one month full event showchasing wide variety of Batik from well-known local markets in Indonesia, such as Pekalongan, Solo, Cirebon even Yogyakarta.
Beside showcasing Traditional Batik, Pasaraya also held some special activities that also related to Indonesian culture, such as local ethnic music show, Batik making course, Indonesian culinary festival in DapurRaya and other exciting activities to entertain their customers.
I personally thought this kind of event will help fashion-conscious youngsters to acknowledge more about Batik and this thing will definitely raise awareness to make Batik as fashionable item for everyone. Because batik is made for Indonesian and we, as the "owner" of Batik must embrace the beauty of it.
For you who interested to know more about Pasaraya and what's happening inside, you can directly visit Pasaraya Blok M (also known as Pasaraya Grande) and see the glory of Batik from October 3 to 31 2015.
